Comedy Cellar - MacDougal Street vs Greenwich Village Comedy Club.

Comedy Cellar and Greenwich Village Comedy Club are practically neighbors in the Village, but they occupy different tiers of the NYC comedy hierarchy. The Cellar is arguably the most famous comedy club in America, known for its incredible lineups and legendary drop-ins. Greenwich Village Comedy Club offers a more accessible, unpretentious alternative — good comedy at reasonable prices without the hype and occasional difficulty getting reservations. Both benefit from the Village's comedy heritage and walkable nightlife. The Cellar is where you go for a bucket-list experience; Greenwich Village Comedy Club is where you go for a reliably fun Tuesday night.
